Because we operate in a high-demand environment and strive to provide reliable, professional service to all clients, we have implemented clear terms and conditions regarding lesson confirmation, attendance, and scheduling delays.
These conditions are designed to protect both the client’s investment and our instructors’ valuable time, ensuring fairness and efficiency for all parties.
- Appointment Confirmation Requirement
To secure your lesson and ensure it proceeds as scheduled, clients must confirm that the appointment is going ahead on the day of the lesson, and this confirmation must be received no later than two (2) hours before the scheduled start time.
You can confirm by replying to your appointment reminder message with a quick text, especially if there have been any changes on your end.
If no confirmation is received within that timeframe, your instructor may not proceed to your location to preserve your prepaid fee. This is not a cancellation — it’s a safeguard to ensure your payment and lesson time are not lost in the event of any miscommunication or no-show.
Why does this policy exist?
Our instructors travel between multiple lesson locations across Perth and surrounding suburbs, often under tight schedules and variable traffic conditions.
If a student forgets to confirm or fails to be at the correct meeting point, the instructor’s time and travel costs cannot be recovered.
In those situations, the full lesson fee is forfeited — even though the instructor made every effort to deliver the service.
By requiring confirmation in advance, we can ensure every student’s lesson goes ahead smoothly or that their payment remains protected if there’s any confusion about the meeting point or timing.
- No-Show or Incorrect Meeting Point
If an instructor arrives at the arranged location and the client is not present, the full lesson fee will be forfeited.
The same applies if a student is waiting at the wrong address, wrong testing centre, or another meeting point that was not clearly confirmed.
Please ensure that your meeting location, date, and time are confirmed when scheduling your appointment.
Driving School WA and its instructors cannot be responsible for delays, errors, or missed lessons caused by incorrect meeting points, unconfirmed attendance, or client unavailability.

Driving School WA instructors are in high demand, often booked back-to-back with minimal breaks between lessons. We appreciate that our clients trust us with their preparation for the driving test and their safety on the road — and in return, we expect the same level of respect and reliability from our clients.
Our instructors dedicate significant time to travelling between appointments, managing scheduling changes, and delivering personalised instruction.
For this reason, we kindly ask all clients to understand that lesson confirmation and punctuality are essential parts of our professional agreement.
- Instructor Delays and Traffic Conditions
While we make every effort to arrive on time, driving instructors are constantly on the road and subject to unpredictable traffic conditions, roadworks, weather, and delays caused by other drivers.
We are all about teaching real-world driving, and part of that reality is that unexpected delays can happen.
What you can expect
If your instructor is delayed for reasons beyond their control, you will never lose lesson time.
We guarantee that your instructor will extend the lesson duration accordingly, ensuring you receive your full scheduled time behind the wheel.
What we ask from clients
To make this system work smoothly and fairly, we ask all clients to allow a minimum of 45 minutes’ flexibility after the scheduled lesson end time.
This flexibility ensures that if your instructor is delayed by traffic or road conditions, they can still deliver the full-quality lesson experience you’ve booked and paid for.
This condition applies to all regular driving lessons.
- Test Day Appointments – Punctuality Guaranteed
We understand that driving test days are special occasions that can cause extra nerves and stress for learner drivers.
That’s why on test days, we make punctuality an absolute priority.
Driving School WA guarantees that your instructor will arrive on time for all test-related bookings, allowing sufficient preparation and briefing time before your Department of Transport assessment.
We coordinate closely with test centre schedules and take extra precautions to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day of your driving assessment.
